How can I specify which icons are visible on the Data Folio Control Panel in Weibull++?
The icons displayed on the Data Folio Control Panel in Weibull++ can be customized using the Set Folio Tools window. To open the Set Folio Tools window, click the Other tab on the Data Folio Control Panel and then click Customize Folio Tools. The Set Folio Tools window is shown below.
The Main tab of the Set Folio Tools window allows you to specify which icons are visible on the Data Folio Control Panel. Simply select the checkbox next to the icons that you want displayed on the Data Folio Control Panel and de-select the checkboxes next to the icons that you do not want displayed. In addition to customizing the icons, you can also use the Set Analysis tab of the Set Folio Tools window to specify which options are available on the Set Analysis tab of the Data Folio Control Panel. Once you have made your selections, click OK to accept the changes and close the Set Folio Tools window.
Since temperature values must be entered into ALTA in absolute scale, is there a way to automatically convert temperature values in the Data Folio that are in Celsius and Fahrenheit to Kelvin or Rankine?
To convert temperature values into absolute scale, you must first be sure that you have selected the cell(s) within the stress column of the ALTA 6 Data Folio that you want to convert. Next, select Convert Temperature from the Data menu, as shown next.
From the Convert Temperature submenu, select the type of conversion that you would like to perform on the selected cell(s). You can also select the Place Original Values in Subset ID option if you want the initial temperature values (before they were converted) to be placed into a Subset ID column. If the current Data Folio does not contain a Subset ID column, then one will automatically be inserted into the Data Folio to accommodate this process.
