Sequential Probability Ratio Test for Reliability Demonstration

The Sequential Probability Ratio Test (SPRT) was developed by Abraham Wald more than a half century ago. It is widely used in quality control in manufacturing and detection of anomalies in medical trials. In this article, we will explain the theory behind this method and illustrate its use in reliability engineering, especially in reliability demonstration test design. An example using the SPRT report template in Weibull++ is provided.

Finishing Touches on New Training Center

After months of planning and hard work, we are pleased to see our state-of-the-art Reliability Training Center (RTC) near completion at our headquarters in Tucson, AZ. When you first walk into the main auditorium, with its tiered seating for 45, it feels like the bridge of the Enterprise. There are remote controlled cameras, overhead microphones, dual projection screens, ergonomic seating and a myriad of outlets to plug in a phone, laptop and anything else you have with power.
