ReliaSoft’s research and development team compiled this on-line reference for the general use of the practitioner as an introduction to system reliability, maintainability, availability and related analyses.

This on-line reference presents the underlying theory and principles, relevant calculations and derivations and numerous practical examples as they apply to system reliability, maintainability, availability and related analyses. It is one of several references that reside on weibull.com.

This on-line reference is a modified version of ReliaSoft's System Analysis Reference: Reliability, Availability and Optimization, the printed theory manual that accompanies the BlockSim application. How Is This On-Line Reference Arranged?

This reference is divided into chapters, which are defined by the icon, and then sections and subsections. Some of the subsections also have topics associated with them.

At the end of each chapter, section and subsection, a See Also: list will appear. The See Also: list will take you to the chapter, section or subsection that it is related to.

Throughout this reference there are hotspots. These hotspots are always displayed similarly to a hypertext link and will take you to related items in this reference. In addition, there are a few hotspots that display a pop-up citation wherever an outside source was used in the reference. There also are a few hotspot pop-ups that will display an equation to better explain a theory.
